If you are considering moving off the grid, are already off grid and want a deeper understanding of your power system, or if you want to expand your electrical contracting or grid-tied solar business to include off-grid solar, wind and hydro power systems, this is the class for you!
Also note, there is a 6-day hands-on Wind Turbine Design and Construction class and a 3-day Wind Turbine Towers and Installation class preceding this one, at the same location. Bundle discounts are available if you wish to take all three classes.
This workshop is 75% classroom, 25% hands on. The hands-on portion will include a field trip to observe and discuss existing off-grid systems in the area, and performing a full system inspection and maintenance cycle on the existing system that's on site.
Immediately prior to this class, we are teaching both the intensive, hands-on class Wind Turbine Design and Construction, and Wind Turbine Towers and Installation hands-on for 3 days. Yes, we like wind power! Wait until you see the site!
This class is an optional module of Wind Turbine Design and Construction, and is accredited by both NABCEP and IREC / ISPQ, and all students who successfully complete it are eligible for 16 Continuing Education credits for both organizations. Please see our
Accreditation Page or contact us for more information.
Upon successful registration, you will be able to download detailed course information and a map to the site.
Please read our
